RIP: Mary Travers

“I think

there are many qualities

that allow a song

to transcend its own time,

whether it’s a love song,

a lullaby,

or a song of protest.

They all have to have

a certain elegance to them,

and simplicity and authenticity.”

  1. She had grace, intelligence and the most beautiful spirit. I can’t listen to 500 miles without tears at the loss of her, of them, of a large part of myself. Thank you for bringing attention to this uniquely gifted artist.
