A financial crisis can certainly put a pall on the libido: “Dow’s down, Sex’s Up.” And it appears everyone’s of a mind to say something about it. Intelligent Life ran this story on high-priced prostitutes shortly after the Elliot Spitzer story broke, but with the erudite readership of Life readers, the comments proved as fascinating as the story itself.

Meanwhile, across the pond, those very proper Brits are turning to sex as a cheap way to pass the time during the downturn (pardon the pun).
